Alpharetta Adventist Church March 2017

In preparation for the arrival of 23 students from Southern Adventist University, Barbara Ratterree, Community Services Leader of the Alpharetta Adventist Church, joined Cynthia Euler and the Beehive team in Bohoc, Haiti, for 10 days February 21-March 3, 2017. Barbara’s second trip to work with Beehive Global, Inc. began with bread making classes for Haitian students, who are still in awe, and asked “how can all that happen in this little machine?” Since Andrews University will be following the arrival of Southern’s student team, it was important to teach the Haitian chef new recipes the college students would enjoy. Resident chef Eddy quickly picked up the art of chili spaghetti and breakfast burritos. Adding his Haitian spices to the mix, he created delicious, crowd-pleasing dishes.

Her love for animals was evident as Barbara walked with the Beehive’s veterinarian around the country property—checking on four mares, one stallion, three donkeys, chickens, Guinea birds, and our two security guards Pico the Rottie, and Bonzo the Great Dane Lab mix. But the real joy was welcoming the newest addition—a sweet baby ewe!

Barbara states: “With every step that I take on the Beehive property, I am reminded of my brothers and sisters at the Alpharetta Church who have given so much of their time and resources for the people of Haiti. Thank you for joining me in the incredible work Beehive Global, Inc. is doing.”
